Canterbury Christ Church University is working with the Universities of Kent, Greenwich and the Creative Arts within the Business First project to provide businesses with FREE* graduate level help, delivered through in-company placement projects.

What’s in it for you?

• Placements are a proven, cost effective and flexible approach to providing businesses with a low-risk introduction to graduate employment without the need for long-term commitment

What’s in it for graduates?

• £500 per month bursary for up to 5 months
• Free specialised 'employability' training prior to their placement
• Valuable relevant experience and contacts which could lead to future employment

How does it work?

• Complete and return the Project Brief form
• Project Briefs will be matched with participating graduates' profiles from across the four universities
• You will be sent matches that most closely meet your requirements
• You will interview and select most appropriate graduate(s) for the project
• You will agree, with the graduate(s), the details relating to the project/placement (hours, times, supervision etc), remuneration, if applicable, (see below)
• If we cannot make a suitable match then we will keep your request on our database for future work placement opportunities, unless you ask us not to do so.

*Although participation in this scheme is free to businesses, graduates will be taught negotiating skills as part of their pre-placement training. We would expect them, therefore, to negotiate for an enhancement to their bursary and would hope that businesses would actively engage in this process!
